BHS Museum

One of New England’s fondest legends is that of John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, a folk hero and real-life explorer, who was born in nearby Leominster, Massachusetts in 1774.
Author, historian, and storyteller, Mark Bodanza, will bring his lively program, “Johnny Appleseed: The Man Behind the Folklore,” to Brentwood on Thursday, October 17, starting at 7:00 pm at the Historical Society Museum. Bodanza will recount a full and more thoughtful examination of the man, revealing a rich texture meriting the celebratory folklore and much more.
