Jewelry Appraisal Day

10/21/23
BHS Museum

For the first time, the Historical Society is excited and proud to sponsor a fundraising event that focuses exclusively on jewelry.  That’s on Saturday, October 21st, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Jim Doggett of Doggett Jewelry in Kingston, will examine pieces you bring, including antique and estate jewelry.

Appraisals will be available at a maximum of two items for $5.00 each, proceeds going to the Historical Society.  Mr. Doggett specializes in making custom jewelry, specifically in reworking sentimental pieces into wearable jewels.  He also features estate jewelry for those who appreciate the uniqueness of older pieces.  On his website he writes that, “Being classically trained, I am able to repair many pieces others will not touch.”  Regarding appraisals he states that because of his lifelong studies he can appraise any piece that comes in for appraisal.

Save the date of October 21 and come to the Museum at 140 Crawley Falls Rd., Brentwood with one or two items you’ve always had questions about. Neighbors and friends will be welcome, including those who live in other towns. Admission will be free. The only fee will be the Appraisal Fee of $5.00 each for a maximum of two items.  For any other information please contact the museum at 603-642-8944 or  info@brentwoodnhhistory.org.
