“Granite State Stories”

presented by Mary Adams of the New Hampshire Historical Society

There are many interesting stories in our Granite State about people, places and things. Mary Adams, from the New Hampshire Historical Society, will speak on two such stories during this program – “Two Flags From the Revolutionary War” and “The Concord Coach.”

Ms. Adams will bring two flags of historical significance and tell us how they were made, how they were captured by the British, and how they eventually made their way back to New Hampshire.

Concord Coaches – built in Concord, New Hampshire – were used everywhere, but are most closely associated with the settlement of the American West. They were decorated with original works of art, many of which celebrate New Hampshire.
